UHC (Ultra Hardcore) disables or nerfs natural regeneration, so food, potions, and play are scarce by design. Public UHC is either hosted match play (meetup countdown, border shrink) or long UHC-rules SMPs.

Match UHC needs Discord pings and fill times. Endless/UHC meetup servers run repeated games. Seasonal UHC SMPs last weeks with the same world rules.

Know which format you joined. Showing up to an SMP with match-hotbar habits (or the reverse) feels awful.
